The Adams Quartet

"With a firm foundation in the past and an eye toward the future," The New York Based ensemble The Adams Quartet enjoys exploring sonic avenues of original music and unique arrangements. Co—led by brothers Nicki and Patrick, the quartet expands upon the synthesis of classical and jazz styles Patrick and Nicki developed on their album, Lynx (Sunnyside records 2021) of which reviewer, Maruizio Zerbo, wrote at All About Jazz: “With this record, the two New York musicians demonstrate that they are getting out of the cage (now in fashion) of the canonical jazz reinterpretation, going beyond the limits of diligent work and respect for tradition. They are undoubtedly personalities of great musical depth, destined to keep themselves out of the conventions in force.” Joined by bassist Eddy Khaimovich and drummer Evan Hyde, who have performed with a veritable “who’s who” in the jazz world including Roy Hargrove, James Moody, Fred Hersch and Paquito D’Rivera (to name a few), the quartet adds a deep conversational rapport to the orchestral complexity of the ensemble. Nicki, Eddy, Patrick and Evan's work reflect their passion for craft, innovation and joy.
